The Corporation has engaged 1984 Riot Victim Women at its Training -cum- Packing Unit at Tilak Vihar as a step in the direction of Social Commitment to enable them to earn their livelihood. At present, there are 19 Riot Victim Women at this centre, they help in packaging of various food items as and when procured by the Corporation for further supplies to other Deptt./ organisation. They are being paid wages on hourly basis revised from time to time on the basis of the rates fixed by Labour Deptt. GNCT Delhi. The items usually packed are rice, pulses, tea, salt, sugar, ghee, atta, onion, potato etc.
